FOUNDING AND HISTORY

Nehemiah Group began with the incorporation of Nehemiah Reinforced Soil Sdn Bhd in 1993. Founder, Dr. Nehemiah Lee saw an opportunity to make a positive impact on the construction industry in Malaysia and set out to found a company based primarily on the principle of conducting business with integrity. 25 years later the business has grown and the Nehemiah group has obtained a wise reputation for operating with integrity in the many areas of the construction industry they are now working in.

 

Nehemiah Reinforced Soil Sdn. Bhd. (NRS) specializes in the design, supply and construction of our own patented proprietary reinforced soil retaining wall system called Nehemiah Wall. Since its inception, NRS has grown by leaps and bounds and exported its technology overseas to Singapore, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Indonesia.

 

Besides expanding internationally, the company has also diversified into other specialist systems with products like prestressing, geosynthetics, cribwall and super long span girders.

CONTROL & ASSURANCE

To ensure the highest quality standard is maintained, testing on components and raw materials are regularly conducted as well as the implementation of stringent Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures. The company has been ISO9001 certified by Lloyd's since 2001.

 

Nehemiah Group is a proud recipient of a significant number of awards such as the Brand Laureate, SME Product Excellence, Ernst & Young and Star Outstanding Business Award. In addition, founder Ir. Dr. Nehemiah Lee was a top nominee twice for the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2009 and 2010. In addition, he won the prestigious SOBA Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2011.

Another hallmark of our drive for quality is our commitment towards Research & Development (R&D). In line with our core values of extra mile and innovation, we strive to continuously improve the way we do things and deliver quality and value to our customers through R&D. The R&D is carried out by full scale instrumentation of prototypes, finite element analysis and centrifuge model testing.
